Golf Club of Houston

Centered in the beautiful Fall Creek Community you will find the Golf Club of Houston. This prestigious club offers two 18-hole championship golf courses, both having hosted a PGA TOUR event, and the finest practice facilities anywhere in the Houston area.

Generation Park

Currently under construction, Generation Park is a 4,000-acre master planned “enterprise park,” Houston’s largest new commercial development and future home to FMC Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: FTI).

Lake Houston Wilderness Park

Lake Houston Park includes some 4,786 acres of wooded parkland and is the only park in the Houston Parks and Recreation Department system where overnight camping is available. Amenities include 12 miles of hike and bike trails, 8 miles of equestrian trails, cabins, lodges, tent platforms, a dining hall.

Alexander Deussen Park

Petroleum geologist Alexander Deussen donated this 309-acre site on Lake Houston to Harris County in 1956. It has since been converted into a public park with amenities including boat ramps/piers, duck ponds, jogging trails, pavilions and picnic areas, playgrounds, sports fields, water gazebos, and a senior center.

Sheldon Lake State Park

This state park features group programming, birding, wildlife/nature study, hiking, and free catch-and-release family fishing for children. A half-mile nature trail passes 28 naturalized ponds, which contain alligators and other wildlife. Free catch-and-release family fishing is permitted for children accompanied by adults, in the two fishing ponds.
