Humble ISD will hold Community Input Meeting Webinar at 7 p.m., on Monday, April 26, to discuss attendance zone for new middle school
Humble ISD is building a new middle school due to student enrollment increases in the southern portion of the school district. Middle School #10, which has not yet been named, is being built on Woodland Hills Drive near Ridge Creek Elementary. It will open in August 2022.
The district invites parents and the public to a Community Input Meeting regarding the establishment of an attendance zone for Middle School #10.
Humble ISD will hold the Community Input Meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 26. The meeting will be by webinar due to limitations on the number of people who can be inside a building while maintaining physical distance. Participants are able to ask questions during the webinar. To join the webinar please visit humbleisd.net/communityinputmeeting at 7 p.m., April 26.
At the Community Input Meeting, options being considered by the School Attendance Area Committee will be presented. The options to be presented will be posted to humbleisd.net/ms10 by 4 p.m. April 26. The attendance zone options are anticipated to affect some students who currently reside in attendance areas for West Lake and Woodcreek middle schools.
Following the meeting, the district also will collect input online from April 27 through May 4. An attendance area for the new school is anticipated to be established in May 2021 and would take effect in August 2022 when Middle School #10 opens.
