Sponsored by Fall Creek Landscape Committee Cosponsored by Glenn Olsen Birding Ecotours (GOBirding Ecotours)
Join Fall Creek resident and professional eco-tour guide Glenn Olsen to learn what plants will grow well in Fall Creek and serve as a magnet for butterflies, hummingbirds, and other beneficial pollinators. We will learn the names and see photos of potential ground covers, grasses, flowers, vines, shrubs, and trees that butterflies love. By using a layering technique with selected plants homeowners can greatly increase plant diversity and create an amazing habitat. We will discuss design elements to comply with homeowner regulations to keep our landscapes attractive to humans as well as many butterflies. Our intent is to equip you to design a stunningly beautiful landscape that is also an enjoyable and safe habitat for birds, butterflies, and family.
Though this event is designed for adults, well-behaved children over ten are welcome to join.
