Community Input Meeting to be held online August 27 regarding attendance zone for new Humble ISD elementary school
Humble ISD is building a new elementary school due to student enrollment increases in the southern portion of the school district. Elementary School #30, which has not yet been named, is being built in Fall Creek on Aspen Falls Lane and will open in August 2021.
The district invites parents and the public to a Community Input Meeting regarding the establishment of an attendance zone for Elementary School #30. The Community Input Meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 27. Due to limitations on the number of people who can be inside a building while maintaining physical distance, the meeting will be held by webinar. Participants are able to ask questions during the webinar. To join the webinar please visit www.humbleisd.net/communityinputmeeting at 7 p.m. August 27.
At this meeting, options being considered by the School Attendance Area Committee will be presented.
The attendance zone options are anticipated to affect some students who currently attend Fall Creek and Ridge Creek elementary schools.
The School Attendance Area Committee is continuing to work on attendance zone options. Gathering input at the Community Input Meeting is an important step in the process. Following the meeting, the district also will collect input online from August 27-September 1. An attendance area for the new school is expected to be established this fall and would take effect in August 2021 when Elementary School #30 opens.
