The 180,000-square-foot Woodcreek Middle School opened in August 2010 as Humble ISD's eighth middle school campus. 

The state-of-the-art facility boasts an impressive list of learning centers where students can explore a variety of interests, including four computer labs, nine science labs, an amphitheater, a library media center, three art labs, a competition gym, half-size practice gym and music halls. Woodcreek also offers a full athletics program, with football, basketball, track and volleyball. Fine arts programs include band, choir, art and orchestra, and a career and technology center also is on campus. Students also can develop leadership skills through student council and National Honor Society and special-interest organizations include scrapbooking, photography and art.

Parent participation has been a focus at Woodcreek since before the school opened, and an active Parent-Teacher Organization sponsors several fund-raising activities throughout the year, donating specialized equipment, hosting fine art assemblies and providing other enrichment programs.

Perhaps one of the most exciting aspects of the school is the future YMCA that will be built adjacent to the campus. The two facilities will combine efforts to serve students and share amenities, including the YMCA's competition-size pool.
