Fall Creek Elementary School
14435 Mesa Drive, Humble, TX 77396
Fall Creek Elementary, the first school to open within Fall Creek, follows the elementary prototype developed by Humble Independent School District and successfully used at a host of elementary schools within the district. The school's exterior architectural design harmonizes with the style of the Fall Creek development.
Inside, young Fall Creek students enjoy a rich curriculum that encourages students to solve problems, be critical and creative and make connections along subject areas. The curriculum is enhanced with state-of-the-art technology found in each classroom and in two computer labs. Other specialized spaces include a music room, learning resource center and science lab. A multi-purpose cafeteria doubles as a gymnasium and includes a performance stage.
Kindergartners have their own wing with a separate entrance at Fall Creek Elementary. The young students also have specific play areas isolated from older students.
Outside, a large covered pavilion offers welcome relief from the southeast Texas sun, giving students a shaded area in which to play or hold classes outside. The pavilion is available for use by Fall Creek residents during summer breaks and weekends.
The 80,000-square-foot facility accommodates approximately 750 students. All of Fall Creek is zoned to the 14-acre, $12.7-million campus, which received an Exemplary rating from the Texas Education Agency for the 2010-11 school year, the last year ratings were assigned due to the introduction of the new state-mandated STARR tests.
